Dining hall

For all students staying in the dorm, meals are provided in the Edminster Student Union Building (across the street from the dormitory) at dinner on the first day of the school, and three meals a day thereafter through Satuday, August 9.

No meals are served on Sunday, August 10. Meals are served cafeteria-style with self-service soft drinks and salad bar for lunch and dinner. A partial- or no-meal plan option is not available this year.

Other Facilities

The Edminster Student Union Building also houses the NIC Bookstore (the Mica Peak Exchange), an espresso bar, a recreation room, and lounges.

Classrooms

Classrooms are provided in several campus buildings for chanter and pad sessions. Piping is not permitted in the general area of NIC buildings due to the presence of faculty and staff offices. Instructors will give locations for the outdoor sessions when pipes and drums will be played.

Practice Areas

The park area is a popular area for piping and drumming during school hours. After school hours students may play near the dorm and the adjacent Bachelor Officers' Quarters, as well as near the Edminster Student Union Building and in the park.
